What a sad situation.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><strong>The GOTA REGIME and the Rajapaksa government lost the Geneva Vote in the resolution against Sri Lanka.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><strong>As Sri Lankans we are not happy with what happened but the vote is a well deserved reply for the fast declining right to life, information, freedom of speech and interference with the JUDICIARY.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><strong>The Foreign Ministry press conference held now Dinesh Gunawardena Virtually\u00a0 in a braking voice speaks and say that 22 were in favour whilst 25 were against or they could not win. Sadly this old idiot Minister can\u2019t understand that when you abstain it can be that you are in favour but want keep the relationship going and don\u2019t want to destroy it. <\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><strong>The press conference is totally focused to say that the present Sri Lankan government acted in good faith and wanted to protect the people from all perils foreign and local. <\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><strong>The recent remarks of Sarath Weerasekara on the HIJAB and the GOTA\u2019S threat on the Media changed the status of many countries that wanted the stand with Sri Lanka. <\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><strong>The minister does not know what the resolution can do and still think that Sri Lanka can dictate the terms. <\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><strong>If the GSP+ is withdrawn the ailing and limping economy will be dead in no time.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-9605\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lankadawasa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/u1-300x190.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"190\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lankadawasa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/u1-300x190.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lankadawasa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/u1-768x487.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.lankadawasa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/u1.jpg 828w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>22 in favour 11 against and 14 abstain.
