The Colombo Additional Magistrate has ruled that the mysterious death<\/p>\n\n\n\n
of Rajkumari, who died in police custody after being arrested by the<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Welikada Police, was an unlawful homicide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additional Magistrate also ordered that all the parties involved in<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rajkumari’s murder to be arrested and produced before the court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Facts were revealed that Rajkumari was beaten by the Welikada police<\/p>\n\n\n\n
while in police custody and the police tried hard to cover the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However due to the intervention of a group of Sri Lankan lawyers who<\/p>\n\n\n\n
came forward to do justice to her death, the court paid attention to<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the reports, Rajkumari died due to the trauma caused by<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the damage to the muscles, assaulted by a blunt weapon or similar<\/p>\n\n\n\n
force which caused internal bleeding into the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As soon as Rajkumari was arrested the media reported that the<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Welikada police filed a complaint against Sudharma Nethikumar where<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rajkumari worked as a domestic helper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is said that the police brutally assaulted Rajkumari because of the<\/p>\n\n\n\n
strange relationship between Sudharma Netthikumara and Law and Order<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minister Tiran Alas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, the police officers who assaulted an innocent woman to win<\/p>\n\n\n\n
favors from the minister are now to be arrested. We are waiting to see<\/p>\n\n\n\n
if those police officers will be allowed to be freed from this murder<\/p>\n\n\n\n
with the privileges they received from the minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is a good lesson for the police officers who lick the arses of the ministers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
