Now, petrol and diesel are available at a higher price for a higher quota. Gas is available. Meat and fish are available. Even though the prices are increased, water and electricity is being supplied accordingly. So Ranil Rajapaksha and SLPP gambling Minister’s are asking what else is there to give. Most of them have forgotten, in the past, people in the queues have fallen dead in the middle of the queue. Now, whether there are votes or not, the whole country is set to what they think. Some people think that it is good to eat and drink what is available in order to keep themselves healthy.
It is said that the crab has its pleasure till the water is heated in the “Lo Wada” magazine. A day would surely come when even those who made up their minds to save their heads and eat as much as they can while cutting their expenses, will realise one day that they won’t be able to survive like that.
That is as certain as rice in the stomach. There is point in looking at the calendar to tell when that day will be. What should be understood is that there is risk to the lives of everyone. The health service in this country affects the lives of people the most.
It’s because that’s where everyone is dealing with death. Even if you have no food to eat, you can make up your mind to drink a sip of porridge for one meal and eat something or the other on the next day or meal to get through the day.
There are no beds in hospitals all over the country. Some hospitals don’t even have saline water for emergencies. There are no anesthesia beds in the hospital wards. There is a lack of bandages and gauze in the wound wards. There are no injection needles. What is more problematic now is that there are no doctors to give medicine because the doctors are leaving the country.
Currently, 10 of the 45 oncologists, 4 out of 17 paediatricians have gone abroad. Recently it was reported that the children’s ward of the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital was closed because all the three paediatricians went abroad.
The collapse of the health service in this country has not yet been felt by the people, so whoever is ruling the country is still under the theory of people filling themselves with whatever they find just to survive. They can stay like that because they do not care about the patients in the hospitals outside the clusters.
But Ranil hamu must understand that a country cannot be built up like that. This old bastard and those SLPP bastards don’t like to give up the power. So in order to hide this they are playing with the prices and goods which affects the lifestyle of the people. If our country continues to go on like this, it will become a large city for sure. We are saying that because Ranil hamu’s government is so crooked.
